Bombastic Bloviation and Pleonastic Opinion

Random thoughts from my vacation in St. Augustine

(1) What is with the proliferation of mothers with tattoos?  Before you think of getting all tatted up, ladies, remember this: it may seem cool now, but when you're 40 and have three kids, that tribal arm-band and tramp-stamp is just gross.

(2) Walmart shoppers have to be the laziest people on Earth.  We stopped to get some children's Tylenol and the parking lot was filled with abandoned shopping carts.  Most were left less than 30 feet from those cart return areas.  You had to dodge them to get to and from the store.  Amazing.

(3) The lunch special at our hotel restaurant (a fish sandwich and glass of wine) just did not sound appetizing at all, even if it was just $9.95.

(4) Pregnant + Bikini = yikes.

(5) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen rocks.  It rained all day on Tuesday.  We had to do something.

(6) Garmin's GPS maps are more than a little out of date.  We ended up driving to Ormond Beach to watch a movie because the GPS couldn't find the movie theater on the other side of town.

(7) Ice-cream at Fiesta Falls after a round of miniature golf = rip off.  Hit the local DQ instead.

(8) Vince Flynn's book Protect and Defend is awesome.

(9) The Santa Maria Restaurant on the marina in the city is really good, but really expensive.

(10) We won't be able to afford this trip next Summer if Obama's damned Cap-and-Trade scheme passes the Senate.
