A FOXNews.com story reports that a Guatemalan illegal immigrant sex offender, in my home state of North Carolina, may be released because he is an illegal. Since he is illegal, there are no public funds to "treat" his "illness". So, he has been transferred to a juvenile detention center where they can only hold him until he is 19. But, because he is a freaking illegal immigrant, nobody knows for sure how old he is. A sex crime is a felony under immigration law and should result in automatic deportation, but because he is a juvenile "he may not be deportable at all", says Cheryl David, the the national chairman of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

I heard about this on Rush's show today and I did some research to see what I could find. It's a plan, hidden in the Senate Porkulus bill to essentially nationalize health care by creating a new government bureaucracy that will control the cost of health care by deciding what drugs and treatments you will have access to. And if the decisions insurance companies make about your health care are infuriating, just wait until Uncle Obama starts calling the shots.

So President Obama is going to Elkhart, Indiana to hold a town-hall meeting style press conference today to pitch the importance of the economic porkulus bill to the American people. Isn't that the kind of thing you do as a candidate for office? Earth to Barry. The campaign is over. It's time to lead. The porkulus bill is in trouble because you didn't write it yourself. You outsourced the job to the moron Democrap leaders in Congress and as expected they loaded this up with spending on liberal social programs.

I'm starting to wonder. Vice President Foot-in-Mouth once scolded us, saying that paying higher taxes was "patriotic". That notion, as silly and insulting as it was then, is even more so now that we have found so many Democraps and Obama nominees who are tax cheats. Does that make them "un-patriotic"?

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers in winning their record sixth Super Bowl title, 27-23. Trailing 10-7, the Cardinals had a chance to take the lead (or at least tie the game) right before the half, but James Harrison's 100-yard interception return for a touchdown gave the Steelers a 17-7 lead at the half. The Cardinal defense held the Steelers on consecutive goal-line stands (after a roughing penalty on 4th down gave the Steelers a first down at the 1) and held the Steelers to a field-goal, making it 20-7. That stand allowed the Cards to come back thanks to a circus catch by Larry Fitzgerald, making it 20-14 and then a safety cut the lead to 20-16. Fitzgerald finaly broke a big play in the fourth quarter to give the Cardinals a 23-20 lead before the Steeler offense made an outstanding drive to win the game.
