House Passes Economic Porkulus Bill
Well, as expected, the Pelosi-Reid-Obama Debt Plan passed the House of Representatives in a 244-188 vote. The good news, however, is that the Republicans in the House finally grew a pair and unanimously voted in opposition to this bill. Thank you John Boehner and Eric Cantor for rallying the Republicans to the side of conservative common sense. Even better, the Republican opposition was joined by 11 Blue Dog Dems.
I had refused to send any money to the NRCC after the failures in the last two elections and the bitching and moaning about how the conservative base cost us the election. This vote has renewed my faith in the conservative movement in congress and today I'm sending them a donation. At least in the House conservatism is still alive. The Senate is another story altogether. Lets see how many RINO's cross the aisle and vote for this crap sandwich when it gets to them. My money is on 10. Want to bet against me on that one?
