A Kidney for Laynee

Dear Friends,

Close personal friends of mine David and Emily Golladay have a little girl named Laynee and she is in desperate need of a kidney replacement.

Laynee was born on May 3, 1999.  She was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease on January 17, 2008 and soon progressed to end stage renal failure.  She is currently undergoing peritoneal dialysis at home ten to twelve hours each night.  Doctors at Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington have recommended a life-saving kidney transplant.

In order to pay for this procedure they are asking for assitance.  A benefit auction and dinner have been scheduled to raise money for the operation as well as a website to help spread the word.

Please, if you live in the Sunnyside area come to the Auction & Dinner, it's for a wonderful cause, and if you can't come, then please visit Laynee's website at http://layneeschneider.com and donate your money, time or for those of you willing to donate your life-giving kidney you can register there as well.

Warm regards,
jim®

Just a quick update, I spoke to both John Fannin of the Daily Sun News and Franny White of the Tri-City Herald tonight and asked them if they could look into doing a story, I know Laynee has gotten her fair share of press lately; however the more coverage the better her chances of getting a kidney.

Has she been covered by the Yakima County Media?  I haven't seen anything on the news or in the paper.
